A WEEKEND OF NOSTALGIA DOWN SOUTH

SEPTEMBER 25th 2023

Southern Two-Dater Packs a Punch (and Sting!)

Hey, music lovers and Electromantics fans! We’ve just wrapped up an electrifying weekend down south and are finally recovered enough to share the highlights. This special weekend was unforgettable, not only for the incredible turnouts but also for the memories made on and off stage.

The Venues: From Hampton to Southampton

We kicked off at The Hub Club in Hampton, a hotspot in the live music scene. Known for its killer sound system and intimate vibes, it lived up to the hype! The crowd's energy was off the charts as they belted out our OMD, Soft Cell, and Depeche Mode covers like true 80s aficionados.

Saturday night, we hit The Concorde Club in Southampton, another beloved venue for quality live music. The stage, the lights, the sound—it all combined for an unforgettable night of 80s nostalgia.

Spidervan’s First (Proper) Voyage

Our man Phill wowed on the keyboards and took the wheel of our new van, “Spidervan.” Previously a bush transporter full of arachnids, it's now our legendary tour van, replacing the trusty "Bean Genie."

Unscripted Moments: The Bee Sting and the Crocs

Road life always brings surprises! Ben (Red Electro) got a bee sting on his face—talk about occupational hazards! Meanwhile, Andy (Gold Electro) discovered the unmatched comfort of Croc shoes. Every tour has its quirks!

Manochrome’s R&R

Our dancing robot, Manochrome, had his adventure, zipping off to the Isle of Wight for a battery recharge after the shows. Big thanks to Michelle, Mano’s carer, for keeping him in top shape.

Our Air B&B Haven

Huge shoutout to our Air B&B hosts for making us feel like family. The relaxed, laughter-filled atmosphere gave us the perfect downtime between shows.

A Community of Fans, Old and New

The best part? Seeing regular fans make the journey and welcoming new faces to the EMX fan club. The southern hospitality was heartwarming, to say the least.

Catch You at the Next Gig!

This weekend was a reminder of why we do what we do: great music, awesome fans, and memories we’ll cherish forever. Can’t wait to do it all over again!

Cheers, Electromantics
